Dear all
First of all, thanks to everyone who came to our recent barbecue which was a huge success. Special thanks to Claire Tolan and James Fegan for all of their hard work in putting the event together.
The next date in the LADRA calendar is Hallowe’en and we are delighted to to confirm that Rueben is back to entertain one and all on Monday, 31 October from 5pm to 7pm in Lansdowne Green. Please see poster attached. Warm refreshments will be served for adults while the kids watch the show.
Once again, this is a Trick or Treat for Temple Street event which will raise much needed funds so please be sure to make a donation on the day.

The Hallowe’en House of Horrors is back!
Following last year’s success we are inviting you to once again dress your house this Hallowe’en and make it the spookiest on your road.
The competition is open to all houses in our area including Lansdowne Park, Shelbourne Road, Grand Canal Street Upper, Northumberland Road, Lansdowne Road and that little bit of Haddington Road
that we claim as our own.
Send three pictures of your haunted house to info@ladra.org by October 31, 2022 and our panel of judges will decide which house of horror hits the spooky spot.
This year we are awarding a €50 book voucher to the spookiest house in the locality. In addition, there will be two runner-up vouchers, each worth €25. Winners will be notified in early
November.
Given the current climate, entrants who manage to dress their houses in a sustainable fashion in terms of lighting and material used will be given special consideration. When making your
entry please tell us in no more than 150 words why you have met the sustainability requirement.
As the photos entered will be published on the LADRA website and Twitter page, we need to ensure compliance with GDPR. So if your pictures include children under 18 years of age then
make sure they’re disguised or we will not be permitted to publish the images. The competition is open to all members of LADRA so if you haven’t paid your subscription this year please do so today. Payment details are on the website www.ladra.org
Save the Date: Meet the Birds of Dublin Bay – an introductory guided walk will take place on the morning of Sunday, 13 November at 10.30am. Meet at Booterstown DART station for a guided ramble looking at Booterstown marsh and Sandymount Strand. Suitable for young and old alike, Cian Cardiff, one of Ireland’s bird experts, will introduce the birds of this unique habitat on our doorstep.
Once again, the LADRA Committee would like to thank the Aviva Stadium Community Fund for their generous sponsorship of these events and competitions.
Kind regards
The LADRA Committee
